What did Jesus give up for you?

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning… The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
 
That passage is John chapter 1, verses 1, 2 and 14.

Jesus created all things that have been made, “Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” Verse 3.
 
First Jesus gave up his power and authority as the Word of God. It is hard to imagine giving up what little authority I have now for anyone else other than my loved ones. Jesus did it for me, a stranger.
 
Not only did Jesus sacrifice his place with and as God but he then allowed himself to be beaten, sacrificed and cursed so that prophecy was fulfilled and that we can have a relationship with God.
 
This is one of my shorter articles, but none the less important to recognize that God has everything in control. Jesus came and willing gave up EVERYTHING so that we can live with God. The Gospel is an amazing example of sacrifice, faithfulness and Love.
 
As we continue our walk with God, living the life Jesus intends us to live; we can remind ourselves when things are getting rough that Jesus can help. He knows our struggles. He gave it all up to help us walk. Let us know how Jesus has helped you in your life by leaving a comment!
